Albuquerque is a real haul south into New Mexico, the first of our longer lanes to leave Colorado behind. Plan on about 380 miles: I-25 straight down through Pueblo and Trinidad, over Raton Pass at the state line, then down past Las Vegas and Santa Fe into the Rio Grande valley, around five and three-quarter hours of driving. Our crew loads at the Colorado Springs yard at sunrise, tops Raton, and rolls into town to unload, often the next day, around Nob Hill, the North Valley, the Heights, or out by Rio Rancho.
